Description of the Flag

The flag of the Naval Training Center, San Diego. I picked this flag up several months ago. It was purchased along with the patch. The Naval Training Center would include many navy training schools in San Diego (not just basic training also known as boot camp). The flag is one sided, but with grommets. I think it might have been a car flag.

It is the flag of the "Naval Training Center San Diego (NTC San Diego) (1923–1997) is a former United States Navy base located at the north end of San Diego Bay. The base was closed by the Base Realignment and Closure (or BRAC) 1993 commission at the end of the Cold War. It is now the site of Liberty Station, a mixed-use community being redeveloped and repurposed by the City of San Diego. Since 1994, RTC Great Lakes in Illinois has been the Navy's only basic training facility."

In this image (http://libertystation.com/wp-content/uploads/2015/11/future3.png, source: http://libertystation.com/our-story/) one can see purported flags of current Liberty Station, featuring the logo (http://sandiegofoodfinds.com/wp-content/uploads/2016/02/Liberty-Station-Updates.jpg) on a U.S. flag and also on a horizontal black flag.

The submitted flag can also be found here: https://encrypted-tbn2.gstatic.com/, source: http://www.ebay.ie/sch/Militaria-/13956/i.html?_sop=1&_nkw=naval+flags).

There also seems to be a variant flag, seen here (on the right): http://kellyford.us/wp-content/uploads/2014/11/Boot-Camp-1024x889.jpg (source: http://kellyford.us/?m=201411) in which seems to follow the same pattern and color scheme as this N.T.S. Great Lakes flag (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/, source: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Naval_Station_Great_Lakes).
